Spring Bucket List
Spring is quickly becoming my favorite season.
It’s bright, it’s happy. It’s not too chilly, nor does it feel like a sauna when you walk outside. It’s just right.
The birds are chirping, the trees are blooming (the allergies are not happy about that), but everything is painted in this pastel colored hue that feels like a Wes Anderson movie.
It’s the perfect time to go for a walk, sit on the patio and eat your breakfast in the morning or sip a smoothie or iced coffee in the afternoon as you read a book. Playlists that are giving main character energy.
It’s bike rides while admiring the blue sky and puffy clouds floating by, fresh cut grass (even if it does make your eyes water), grabbing a sweet treat (boba, yogurt or ice cream) with your friends to gab for those couple extra hours of sunlight, drives in the early evenings with the perfect playlist. It’s jumping in the field of wildflowers that only show up this time of year.
It’s Easter egg hunts and church services with family, Mother’s Day brunch celebrating the woman who gave you life, it’s reading poetry in the park or on the porch as the sunlight warms your soul. It’s Polaroid memories and laughs around the dinner table.
It’s the slivers of sunlight coming through the window, the cool breeze in evenings, garden parties, floral dresses, arts and crafts, more daylight and leaning into the brighter things of life.

Spring Bucket List
These are just a few of the things I’d like to do over the spring months while the weather is nice and the vibes are just right.
Visiting the wildflowers in the Antelope Valley area
Take some time off during spring break
Paint
Finish my Gilmore Girls Lego set
Buy fresh flowers to display on the table/counter
Go for walks
Spring cleaning/organizing (that I’ve been saying I would do forever)
Go to a farmer’s market
Make a fun “themed” dinner night
Go for a drive with the perfect “cinematic” playlist
Make more friendship bracelets…just because
Have a playdate with my little besties/nieces
Work on creative projects for my Substack/e-zines, etc.
More screen free time
Make more fun pasta salads
Make poptarts with seasonal fruits with pretty pastel frosting (or something festive like)
Schedule a few friend dates going out and doing things (try a new restaurant or coffee shop, go see a movie, etc.)
Go to Color Me Mine to paint a fun spring/Easter project
LA Times Festival of Books at USC
Plan/take a solo trip to the beach or a new town I’ve wanted to explore (or at least a visit to a museum or unique place to explore)
What are your plans this spring? Do you have any activities planned or that you look forward to?
That’s all for now,
Shelby
